Frantic moments Friday night.
"I woke up from a dead sleep around 12:15 to someone banging on the door and it was a guy saying your neighbors house was on fire," said Ronnie Taylor.
That fire just feet away from Taylor's home. When he had finally got up his nieghbor's home of more than 25 years was on fire. The person ringing the doorbell and knocking at his door was someone he had never seen.
"A good samartian riding on the highway had seen the fire, knocked on doors and woke people up," said Taylor.
"Me and my friends were driving home from a restaurant and my friend happened to see a house on fire," said Jordan Greene. "We pulled into the neighborhood and saw no one had got here yet so we were banging on doors trying to get someone to come to the doors," he said.
According to Jordan he and a pizza delivery man in the area helped pull the homeowner safely from his home.
"I definitely wouldn't say I am a hero. If it wasn't for my friend Keira we wouldn't known what was happening. If anything I am just glad the guy is ok and glad we were able to get him out safely," Greene said.
However for those like Ronnie who live out here, he's grateful for jordan and his friends being so alert.
"I just want to thank him for waking everybody up because that fire could've spread to all these houses around here. I am glad he was alert enough to ride down the road to see it and have the time to stop," said Taylor.
