Habitual shoplifter and accomplice arrested in Gastonia

- A Gastonia man has been arrested for multiple counts of shoplifting and providing false information to police.

Gastonia Police say Bobby Neal Foster, 45, was caught at a Belk Department Store on New Hope Rd. in Gastonia Friday morning with four pairs of Ralph Lauren shoes, valued at $100 each. Foster has been convicted at least four other times for shoplifting.

Before Foster was caught at Belk Department Store, police say he also shoplifted multiple toiletry items from Ollie's on E. Franklin Blvd.

An accomplice, Jennifer Walls, 43, was also arrested for theft and driving while license revoked. She was waiting in a get away car in the parking lot. She was booked at the Gaston County Detention Center.
