Half a million in cash, 2.6 kilos of cocaine seized in Steele Creek drug bust

- Half a million dollars in cash, cocaine, and weapons were found inside a Steele Creek home this week following numerous anonymous complaints from the neighborhood, police said. 

CMPD officers found the $500,000 in cash, along with 2.6 kilos of cocaine, two pounds of marijuana, two handguns, and other drugs inside the residence on Hatton Lane in the Steele Creek area. 

Police said much of the cash was wrapped in tape and dunked in grease before being stored in metal containers. The cocaine was found wrapped in bricks. 

So far, three people have been charged in this case. Anthony Joseph Espinal, 30, Jesus manual Rosario, 24, and Socrates Jhoneril Gomez, 32, are all charged with conspire to traffic in cocaine greater than 400 grams, felony possession of cocaine, trafficking in opium/heroin/opiates, possession with intent to sell/distribute marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia not for marijuana. 

One person, identified as Christian Nunez, 21, is still on the run.
