CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - The wait is over. HAMILTON tickets go on sale Wednesday morning in Charlotte. The box office opens at 5:30 a.m. and the online portal opens at 5 a.m.
From 5:30 a.m. to 7 a.m., people who line up at the Blumenthal box office will get a wristband with a number. If your number is called, you'll get a ticket. There’s a similar lottery process online.
Carolina Tix says it will open a virtual waiting room at 5 a.m. Wednesday. Then you'll get a spot in the cue when tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. You'll have 10 minutes to check out when it's your turn.
If you miss your shot, don't despair. Check back online.
"We expect tickets will actually be put back on the system. We are diligent about ferreting out brokers. We will take several weeks to go through the database of buyers to ferret out anybody who is a broker, void out those tickets, and put them back on the system," said Tom Gabbard, CEO of Blumenthal Performing Arts.
If all else fails, there's one last chance to test your luck.
"For every performance of this show, there are 40 seats that are sold on a lottery basis at ten dollars each," said Gabbard.
