CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A JROTC instructor at Independence High School has been accused of sexually assaulting two students, according to CMPD.
Brad Gibson, 52, has been charged with six counts of indecent liberties with a student and three counts of indecent liberties with a minor.
On Wednesday, September 12, the 15-year-old female victim told police that Gibson, a JROTC instructor at Independence High School, sexually assaulted her in early 2018 while she was a student at the school. She said the assaults happened inside of the school.
During the investigation, detectives identified a second female victim who was 17-years-old at the time of the assault.
She told police that Gibson also sexually assaulted her at Independence in 2010 while she was a student.
Wednesday afternoon, Gibson voluntarily came to police headquarters where he was interviewed by detectives. At the conclusion of the interview, Gibson was arrested and taken to the Mecklenburg County Jail.
Detectives are still working to determine if there are additional victims.
