House fire displaces Charlotte family of 4

- A family of four has been displaced following a large house fire Wednesday night in north Charlotte, the Charlotte Fire Dept. said. 

The fire occurred around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13 at a home located at 8332 Rego Street. 

Upon arrival, firefighters observed the single-story home with heavy smoke and flames showing. It took 23 firefighters about 20 minutes to get the fire under control. 

No injuries were reported. 

The American Red Cross is assisted the family. Fire officials said the house sustained about $75,000 in damages.
