Lost your furry friend? CMPD Animal Care & Control got your back

- CMPD Animal Care and Control announced this week they want to make the process of locating a lost pet less stressful.

The organization released an email address folks can send their pet's information to, and two websites people can visit to create flyers.

Authorities said to make sure the flyers are posted in your neighborhood and to check animals.cmpd.org to see if the department has picked your lost loved one up!

Here's more helpful information they included in their Facebook post:

"We know that when a pet gets lost owners are terrified and do everything they can to find their friend. We want to help. If your pet becomes lost please make up a flyer and email it to accfacebook6@gmail.com. You can create a flyer at www.ReturnMyPet.com or at petbond.com/flyerentry.php.

We will post the flyer on our wall so that it can be circulated. These same flyers should be posted in your neighborhood and you should always check out our lost pet’s page at animals.cmpd.org to see if we've picked them up. You can also send a picture via email or private message with info about your pet and who to contact if seen or found.

Also be sure to check out the Lost and Found Pets-Charlotte group page and Craig's list.
