Man accused of robbing NC banks arrested

- Authorities are crediting the public’s help identifying a man they say is responsible for bank robberies in Rockwell and Albemarle.

Rashun Quintes Spivey, of S. 4th Steet in Albemarle, is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon in Rowan and Stanly counties.


On June 29, 2016, the BB&T in Rockwell was robbed. Officials were able to locate the suspect and found him to be Spivey. Authorities learned that Spivey was wanted for another robbery that happened just two days earlier at the Wells Fargo Bank on E. Main Street in Albemarle.

Spivey’s bond was set at $250,000. His next court date for Rowan County is July 1, 2016 and the court date for Stanly County is July 11, 2016.
