CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A man accused of fatally shooting another man at a cookout drive thru in Winston-Salem was arrested in Charlotte on Thursday.
Jamel Shannon Kinzer, 28, has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury in connection to the deadly shooting.
Officers were called to the Cookout on Peters Creek Pkwy in Winston-Salem early Sunday morning where they found 26-year-old Gabriel Dominguez Parral had been shot in the head and neck.
They say there was an argument leading up to the shooting.
The arrest comes after police say the Parral died at the hospital yesterday.
Around 3:00 p.m. This afternoon, with the help of the U.S. Marshals service, Kinzer was arrested in Charlotte.
This is the 13th homicide in Winston-Salem this year, compared to 11 at this point last year.
