Man arrested, woman sought in John Deere Tractor theft

- A man has been arrested and a woman is being sought in connection to the theft of a John Deere Tractor valued at nearly $15,000, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office. 

The theft occurred on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 429 Triplett Road in Cleveland. A John Deere Tractor worth $14,500 was reported stolen from the area, deputies said. 

Later that day, a phone call was received by one of the deputies, stating several people saw the tractor on Woodleaf-Barber Road. By the time deputies arrived on scene, a man and woman had already jumped and run from the tractor and left it parked in a wooded area. 

The tractor was recovered and evidence was collected.

Detectives were able to follow up on several leads which helped them to obtain felony arrest warrants on the man and woman, identified as Thomas Jay Corbin, 24, and Keri Alise Harwell, 27. 

Corbin was arrested at 215 Yadkin River Road in Salisbury. He's been placed in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond. 

Harwell is still wanted on her warrant for larceny of motor vehicle. Anyone with information on Harwell’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office at 704-878-3180.
