IREDELL CO., NC (WJZY) - The Iredell County Sheriff's Office arrested a local man after they said he was secretly filming people at the Statesville Soccer Complex and Park.
Deputies said on May 10, they received a complaint that Larry Terry Rudisill, 69, of Statesville, NC, had been frequently seen with a camera attached to his coat filming people.
The sheriffs office said they soon discovered Rudisill had pending charges of indecent liberties with a child and first-degree sex offense with a child in Iredell County Superior Court.
A bond modification hearing was held on May 9 and Rudisill’s bond had been modified to include the condition he was not allowed to be on any park premises with any type of recording device.
On May 13, deputies said they received a telephone call from multiple witnesses that Rudisill was at the Statesville Soccer Complex.
Deputies responded to the park, located Rudisill, and saw he had a video recording device attached to the handle bars of his scooter.
The sheriff's office said they confirmed the violation of the court order and Rudisill was placed under arrest on May 13 for violating his bond conditions.
According to the sheriff's office, Rudisill has one pending charge of felony first-degree sex offense with a child, 8 pending charges of felony indecent liberties with a child, and 8 pending charges of felony dissemination of obscenity stemming from a 2014 sheriff’s office investigation.
Rudisill was released Monday afternoon.
