Man charged in connection to several car robbery cases

- A man has been charged with multiple counts of breaking and entering, robbery and resisting arrest, according to CMPD. 

Detectives have taken Brandon A'James McMillon,17, into custody for his involvement in several vehicle robbery cases. 

The first report came in around 5:20 a.m. on Tuesday. Officers responded to the 7000 block of Bonlyn Dr. in reference to a stolen car. The victim there told officers that her 2007 Toyota Sienna van had been stolen from that location. 

A short time later, officers responded to the 9000 block of E. WT Harris Blvd. in reference to property stolen from a car.  Upon arrival, officers were told that the suspect entered the victim's unlocked car and stole personal property.

At 6:45 a.m., officers responded to the 7000 block of Snow Lane in reference to another robbery from a vehicle. This incident involved five cars that had been entered and personal property had been stolen.  While on scene officers found the stolen 2007 Toyota Sienna van. 

Based on information gathered from the investigation conducted on scene, along with Electronic Monitoring correlation, detectives determined that McMillon was the suspect in each of the robberies.  

Detectives also obtained video surveillance from a nearby gas station showing McMillon stealing items from the store, returning to the stolen Toyota Sienna and fleeing the scene. 

Just before 7:00 p.m. officer arrested McMillon and charged him with six counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, three counts of misdemeanor larceny, larceny of a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. He is being held at the Mecklenburg County Jail.
