Man kidnapped at Dollar Tree, forced to take money out of ATM

- "I just couldn't think logically because a lot of time a lot of people say well I know I would do this in a situation. I would do that but you really can't say what you would do until you are in that situation," the man kidnapped said.

He says it all started at the Dollar Tree on The Plaza on Thursday when two women approached him and started what he thought was merely a friendly conversation.

"I didn't think this was some type of scheme. The communication was pleasant, I just thought they were down to Earth, so no red light," he said.

They asked for directions and he agreed to help but when they left the store and got to her car, things took a nasty turn.

"The slim lady, she put a gun to my back and said get into the car," he said.

They then drove him to the Harvey's grocery store on The Plaza and told him to take $500 out of the ATM.

Not knowing what else to do the man took the money out of the ATM and got back into the car but once he got back in, he says he feared he'd sealed his fate.

"They're gonna drive somewhere and kill me? I mean what? I don't know, there's so many thoughts rushing through my head that I just couldn't think," he said.

Then as unbelievable as it sounds, the women drove him back to the Dollar Tree where the whole ordeal started and took off.

Now, he's warning others.

"This is something that they are doing on the regular and so they are coming in and out, so they need to be careful going forward," he said.

He hopes police can catch these women, so no one else goes through what he went through.
