CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Heavy smoke and flames could be seen rising into the night sky at an apartment building in south Charlotte Wednesday evening.
Around 6:30 p.m. firefighters were called to the 7900 block of Greenside Ct. for reports of a multi-story blaze. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire, and additional resources had to be called in.
A second alarm was transmitted and other crews arrived at the residence. The flames were put out, but a a Charlotte Fire Battalion Chief said that three to four units were involved in flames in the rear of the building.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
