CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - A massive tree snapped and fell overnight, blocking three of the four lanes on Colony Road early Thursday morning in south Charlotte, according to police.
City crews arrived at the scene around 6 a.m. to start the cleanup process.
Early estimations for all lanes to reopen and the tree to be removed were around four hours. Drivers can expect the area to be fully clear by 10 a.m.
