Elderly veteran who went missing found safe

- An elderly veteran with several medical conditions has been found safe according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Police say Charles Robert “Bobby” Jones, 70 was last seen Saturday evening around 6:00 p.m. at 3349 Legend Road in Lancaster.

Jones is a white man, 5’ 9”, about 190 lbs.  He has straight light colored hair and a mustache.  He was last seen wearing blue coveralls, a red shirt, and white New Balance sneakers. Police say he has a long scar on his inner left arm. 

His debit card was used in Laurinburg around 8:00 p.m. at the Murphy Express convenience store near Walmart in Conover, NC.

Police say his medical conditions require medication he does not have with him.

Jones drives a red 2005 Chevy pickup truck with submarine service stickers on the back and a South Carolina license tag, EPI 988.
