CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) - Homeowners, businesses and drivers are frustrated with a road closure impacting their daily routines.
The construction is right off of Interstate 485, as your turning onto Moores Chapel Rd. in northwest Charlotte.
The construction started on Monday and is expected to last six weeks.
The inconvenience is just too much for FOX 46's Nick Kosir to keep quiet. Check out his Facebook post:
It's also frustrating to businesses like Franklin's Fast Stop. The road closure sending driving on detours and many cutting through the actual parking lot of the store.
"I hope they get it done with quickly," said one employee.
Neighbors also say the detours are going through the nearby communities and impacting the residents.
"Well, they've been really, really, inconvenient in terms of getting out of the neighborhood and getting where we need to go in the morning," said resident, Connie Haske.
A roundabout and the interstate ramps are being worked on as part of this construction project.
