Mount Holly PD search for 2 suspects who stole truck, robbed pawn shops

- Mount Holly Police are searching for two suspects who stole a truck and robbed two pawn shops on Monday.

Officers responded to a call just before 3:00 a.m. on Monday from the Mount Holly Gun and Pawn located at 120 E. Henry St. Upon arrival officers saw that the glass in the front door had been broken.

After reviewing surveillance video, officers saw two men in a white GMC U-Haul truck ram the door. The suspects entered through the broken glass and took several items including rifles and televisions before leaving.

Just after 3 a.m. officers received another alarm call from the EZ Pawn at 799 W. Charlotte Ave. in Mount Holly. At this location the rear roll-up door was broken in.

Video showed two suspects with the same truck backing into the door until it broke. One suspect entered the building and took a television. Both fled the scene in the truck.

CMPD later found the truck used at a park in Charlotte. It appears to have been stolen from University City Tires in Charlotte following a break-in at that location.

Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call the Mount Holly PD at 704-827-4343 or Crime Stoppers at 704-861-8000.
