CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) - Shirley Douglas was repulsed to hear a man exposed himself to one of her neighbors on Wednesday night.
"It's disgusting, it's perverted, it's nasty," Douglas said.
According to multiple police reports, the suspect started his escapade at a restaurant on Sandy Porter Road around 6:00 p.m. The report says he exposed himself to a 41-year-old woman.
Thirty minutes later, he exposed himself to the next victim, a 51-year-old woman on Redbud Tree Court.
Around 6:40 p.m. the same day, on Morgan Creek Drive, two more women, ages 27 and 25, called police to report a man who was exposed himself to them inside his car.
"It's very frightening, especially for women that their husbands get home late," Mary Smith said.
Many told FOX 46 Charlotte, they didn't know this happened until we broke the news to them.
“Had you not come by I wouldn't know," Douglas said.
They're also bothered police didn't give them a warning about the incidents.
"It's concerning too that we haven't heard anything from police enforcement," Smith said.
"The police should've come by each house and let us know because a lot of our kids are out at that time," Douglas said.
All these areas have quick access to busy Steele Creek Road and many believe that made their neighborhoods an easier target.
"Because you pull off of 160, you wanna take a little detour and cause a little mischief, why not pick this neighborhood," Smith said.
Neighbors want police to catch the suspect or suspects before this turns violent.
"I pray that he doesn't act on anything," Smith said.
