Narcotics stolen in Walgreens robbery in Belmont

- Prescription narcotics were stolen in an armed robbery that occurred at the Walgreen's Pharmacy on Wilkinson Blvd. in Belmont early Saturday.

Belmont Police say that around 2:12 am a black male entered the store and walked up to the pharmacy counter, showed a handgun, and then jumped over the counter stealing an unknown quantity of narcotics.

The suspect then ran out of the store and possibly got into a vehicle that was waiting for him.  He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall with a medium build. He appears to be in his early-mid 30's with short hair and facial hair.  He was wearing a black hoodie with a 'Punisher' logo, blue jeans and gray shoes.  He was also carrying a gray back pack.
