CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46) - Many homeowners surrounding the site of the PGA Championship are financially benefiting from the event.
Homeowners and their families near Sharon Road have setup shops, vendor-style, outside their houses. Many are selling food and drinks to fans heading into the Quail Hollow Club.
Some homeowners are even offering parking. One woman told Fox 46 Charlotte that she can fit almost 30 cars on her property. The prices for parking spots outside of homes start as low as $20.
Homeowners will bring in hundreds to thousands of dollars. Some are using the money for petty cash, college expenses or to donate to a good cause.
