One shot after argument in northeast Charlotte

- An argument between two people lead to one being shot in northeast Charlotte Saturday evening.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say they received multiple calls in reference to shots fired on Broken Branch Rd in the University City area around 8:22 pm.  It occurred in the parking lot of a townhome community.

When police arrived on scene they located a male patient who had a gunshot wound to the leg.  He was transported to CMC-Main with non-life threatening injuries.

The three people involved in the shooting were in a green SUV, and were detained by police.

Police are still investigating.
