WATAUGA CO, NC (WJZY) - The Watauga County Fire Marshal announced a body has been discovered in the rubble after a 7-alarm fire broke out at a strip mall/apartments early Friday morning.
One burn victim has been airlifted to the hospital and another treated, according to officials.
A family of four was able to escape, but one person had been unaccounted for, according to the Watauga Fire Marshal.
All fire and EMS personnel are accounted for.

Emergency responders said Valle Landing strip mall/apartments near Valle Crucis School is completely destroyed.
Officials are asking people to avoid the area around the school. NC HWY 194 S will be closed for an extended period due to fire, along with Broadstone Rd.
The SBI is currently investigating the scene.
