CHARLOTTE, NC - More than 200 athletes from across the United States will descend upon Johnson C. Smith University’s Irwin Belk Complex to take part in the 2016 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials from June 30-July 2.
Competition begins on Thursday, June 30 at 10 a.m. with preliminary heats of the men’s 800m and runs through 9 p.m. with a majority of the track events and select field events. Friday features a full day of competition beginning at 10 a.m. with the women’s javelin and ends with the men’s 400m finals at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday’s finals will begin at 2:45 p.m. and will conclude with the 4x400m relay events at 5:40 p.m.
Over the three days, athletes will be competing at the Irwin Belk Complex for an opportunity to represent Team USA at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games in September.
