Police: 12-year-old hit by car in northeast Charlotte

- Charlotte Mecklenburg Police say a 12-year-old was seriously injured after being hit by a car in northeast Charlotte. 

The accident occurred around 5:20 p.m. at Grier Rd. and Old Concord Rd. Police say the caller reported that it was a child who was struck.

Medic confirms that the child was taken to CMC to be treated for life-threatening injuries. No other information is available at this time.
