Police identify man found dead in Gastonia double homicide

- Police have identified the man who was found dead inside of a Gastonia home Wednesday night in an apparent double homicide.  

Officials released the name of the victim, Robert Bryan Metcalfe, 47, Thursday afternoon. His last known address was 305 W. Boston Ave. in Bessemer City.

The woman found with Metcalfe was identified earlier on Thursday. 68-year-old Brenda Campbell Henson lived in the home at 2511 Mary Ave. that the two were found in.

Officers were called to the home around 4:17 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4 after the two were found dead. 

Detectives seized a 2003 white Chevrolet Avalanche truck Wednesday as evidence. The investigation remains ongoing.
