Persons of interest named in Salisbury double homicide

- The two persons of interest, Ronald Powers & Eugene Black have been arrested by police, thanks to the public's help. Both have been charged with robbery in connection with the murder investigation. Willie Williams Jr. is still being sought by police.


Salisbury police naming three people as persons of interest after a double homicide Friday afternoon. 

Police looking to talk to Ronald Earl Powers, Eugune William Black Jr., and Willie Earl Williams Jr. 

The shooting occurred in the 700 block of E. Monroe St. around 4:10 p.m. at Towne Creek Park. When officers arrived on scene they located the victims on the ground in the park. They were pronounced dead by Rowan County EMS. 

The two people killed were Sabrina Annette Curzi and Darryl Allen Wright. 

"I've lived here 20 years and never seen something like this," said Harold Heilig, who lives in front of the park. 

"You're afraid you don't know what's going on and stuff and you don't know how to react.
I still don't know how to react. It's just nauseating, it really is. The whole community is shaking up by it," said Dionne Kennedy.

The N.C. State Bureau of Investigation is assisting Salisbury Police with this investigation.
