Two teens arrested in drive-by shooting in Salisbury


Two teens have been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting Saturday afternoon in Salisbury. 

16-year-old Jermaine Robinson and 17-year-old Elijah Leach are both charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to inflict serious injury. Robinson has an additional count of assault by pointing a gun.

Salisbury police say just before 1 p.m. they responded to a shooting on 707 Victory St. 

Robinson, Leach and another juvenile fled the scene in a light blue van before being pulled over at 200 Grant St. and Weant Street Apartments. 

Two people were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Both teens have been placed in the Rowan County Detention Center. 

The third juvenile arrested was released with no charges.
