IREDELL COUNTY, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A man is facing multiple charges after he attacked a woman known to him inside a Statesville home, police said.
Isaias Gregorio Flores, 21, is charged with felony habitual assault.
The incident occurred Monday, Sept. 25 at a home located along Cross Creek Drive. Deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff's Office said they were called to the residence for reports of a 'domestic incident'.
Upon arrival, deputies arrested Flores for assault on a female and violating a domestic violence protection order. It was soon discovered Flores had been convicted of assault on two prior occasions.
Flores was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 26 and given a $10,000 secured bond.
Flores has prior convictions of simple assault, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, shoplifting, possession of marijuana, and several traffic offenses. Deputies said Flores is also currently on probation and has a pending charge of possession of schedule I controlled substance.
