CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found shot death inside a northwest Charlotte home early Wednesday morning, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Titus Campbell, police said.
A man has been arrested in the murder, police say. 26-year-old Jamarkus Crawford was taken into custody Wednesday evening. He has been charged with murder.
Officers were called to a house located in the 4100 block of Tresevant Avenue at 3:38 a.m. in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon. As they arrived on scene, officers found Campbell with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead by Medic.
Detectives remained at the scene early Wednesday canvassing the area the determine whether there were any additional witnesses to this deadly shooting.
