Police: Man robs bank in Albemarle, NC by slipping note to teller

Video footage captured the man wanted in a bank robbery Monday in Albemarle, according to police.

It happened about 10:15 a.m. at Wells Fargo located on E. Main Street.

Albemarle Police said a black man entered the bank and passed a note to the tellers demanding money. The clerk gave an undisclosed amount of money to him and it is then that police said that the suspect took off on foot across Third Street toward the courthouse behind some building on Main Street.

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt, blue jeans, dark tennis shoes and a camouflage-colored hat with a North Carolina Tarheel emblem on it.
