Police: Man with cognitive impairment found

- UPDATE: Willie Raymond Taylor was located Thursday at the Target on Metropolitan Avenue. 


The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing man. 

Officers said Willie Raymond Taylor suffers from a cognitive impairment and there is some concern about his safety.

The incident was reported at 11:13 a.m. Thursday, April 14 in the 7000 Wallace Road in the Independence Division.

The reporting person stated that her husband was last seen walking away from 7032 Wallace Road on Thursday, April 14, 2016,  at 7:30 a.m. and enroute to an unknown destination.

Taylor was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap, blue jeans, black sneakers, dark pull-over jacket and wear glasses.  

Police said Taylor has a very strong walking gate and may be trying to walk towards the Merriman Avenue area.
