CHARLOTTE, NC (WJZY) - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating after a person was found deceased inside a vehicle along Interstate-77 Monday.
Medic said at 3:59 p.m. Monday, August 1 they responded to a call for service on the exit ramp for Arrowood Road. Medic pronounced the person dead on scene.
The original call came from a passing motorist who noticed an abandoned vehicle.
CMPD said they are treating the death as 'suspicious' at this time. They said it appears the body had been at the location for a number of days.

The ramp from I-77 northbound to Exit 3, Arrowood Road was temporarily closed Monday, and reopened by 7:30 p.m.
