CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - A large police presence was reported outside Harding University High School Friday afternoon.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, officers responded to a crowd fight.
"Officers arrived, secured the scene, and the majority of them have since left/cancelled their response," a CMPD representative told FOX 46.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools released the following message to Harding families:
"Student safety is our top priority. This afternoon, law enforcement was called to a situation on our campus that may have threatened student safety. This was done out of an abundance of caution and there is no continued threat. Thank you for your support of Harding University High."
No further details were released.
