Police release photo of suspect car in northeast Charlotte road rage shooting

- The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has released a photo of a vehicle that they believe is connected to a road rage incident in northeast Charlotte last week.

The incident happened at 7:38 p.m. Friday, June 8 along Eastway Drive. Police said upon arrival, they found a man, later identified as Luis Ricardo Hernandez-Sesate, with multiple gunshot wounds. 

He was taken to the hospital where he remains for non-life threatening injuries. 

Detectives determined that Hernandez-Sesate had been shot while he was driving in his vehicle in the 3500 block of Shamrock Drive. According to several witnesses, the victim and the suspect vehicles were driving slowly side-by-side when the suspect fired multiple times. 

The suspect vehicle is described as a silver Honda with a sunroof and possibly a damaged or missing passenger side view mirror.
