Police: Rock Hill puppy suspected of mutilation has medical condition

- A 3-year-old beagle believed to have been mutilated was suffering a medical condition known as Paraphimosis instead, according to the York County Sheriff's Office.

On Monday, April 4, deputies responded to a home on Gordon Road in Rock Hill in reference to possible animal abuse.

Deputies believed the beagle had been abused by someone cutting and burning his genitals.

Deputies contacted a veterinarian who did a full medical examination of the dog.

The veterinarian believes the dog suffered from Paraphimosis, and informed deputies there were no signs of ill treatment towards the dog.

No charges will be fired in the case, according to the York County Sheriff's Office.
