Police: Salisbury man arrested after marijuana found in 6-year-old's jacket pocket

- A Salisbury man has been arrested on drug charges after an ounce of marijuana was found in a jacket pocket inside a 6-year-old child's bedroom closet, according to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.

On Wednesday officers executed a search warrant at the 500 block of Villa Woods Drive. Officers found 103 grams of marijuana, a .25 handgun, assorted drug paraphernalia, $1,247 and marijuana in a child's jacket. 

27-year-old Travis Coley was charged with felonious possess with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana, felonious maintaining a dwelling, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor child abuse, according to officers.

Coley's bond was set at $10,000.
