Police: Suspect on the run after punching Rock Hill officer in the head

- Rock Hill Police are searching for a man accuse of assaulting an officer.

On Wednesday at 11:40 p.m. units were called out to the 1307 E. Main Street, Bob's Food Mart in Rock Hill in regards to a disorderly person.

Officers arrived on scene and met with three men outside the business. According to reports, the officers asked the three men to leave the scene, one of the men questioned the officers stating he was not asking for money and he was a taxpaying citizen.

The report said the man became loud and verbally disorderly, refusing to listen to the officers. Another officer, Sergeant Stokes arrived on scene and introduced himself as the shift supervisor to the men. He noticed the one man not cooperating with the officers, stating that he was not going to leave the business.

According to Sergeant Stokes the man told him he didn't care who he was, stating he didn't "Give a F*** about a badge" and continued to yell and curse. He stated again he was a taxpayer and said, "This ain't Baton Rouge!"

Sergeant Stokes told the man to stop cursing in a public place and to leave. At that time, D'Aron Colston took his shirt off and he stated, "F*** that, I ain't goin nowhere," according to Sergeant Stokes.

Colston then told Sergeant Stokes he had already knocked one officer out and would knock him out too.

Sergeant Stokes tried to place Colston under arrest. The other men started to push the officers stating Sergeant Stokes wasn't going to put his hands on their brother, according to reports.

According to reports, Colston swung past one of the officer's heads punching Sergeant Stokes in the head.

Sergeant Stokes said he tried to grab Colston who got away and took a fighting stance. Sergeant Stokes pulled out his taser but missed Colston.

Colston ran off behind Bob's Food Mart. The other two men were arrested and charged with public disorderly conduct and assault police officer while resisting arrest.

A warrant for Colston has been issued for assault police officer while resisting arrest.
