CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Two teenage brothers have been arrested and charged in connection to two separate armed robbery incidents that occurred over the past two months.
Jer’Michael Davidson, 19, is charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, felony possession of marijuana, and possession of a stolen firearm. His brother Jeconiah Davidson, 18, is charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, first-degree burglary and common law robbery.
CMPD officers said Jer’Michael Davidson is accused of breaking into a person's home, assaulting them, and robbing them. The incident happened on Oct. 29, 2017 in the 8400 block of Milton Morris Drive. Upon arrival, the victim told police while he was home with two associates an unknown young man wearing a white mask entered his house through the front door, brandished a black handgun, and told everyone inside the home to get on the ground.
The young man then proceeded to rob the victim and one of his associates, and then assaulted the homeowner by hitting him with the butt of the gun in the eye. The suspect, later identified as Jer’Michael Davidson, also fired a round from his gun into the ceiling and fled the scene.
Weeks later on Nov. 14, the same victim reported to police that a known suspect had taken his property without permission by force at his residence in the 8400 block of Milton Morris Road.
Additional information gathered during the course of the investigation led detectives in identifying Jeconiah Davidson as the suspect in the November 14th incident and his brother, Jer’Michael Davidson, as the suspect in the October 29th case.
On Wednesday, Nov. 15, detectives executed the search warrant in the 8300 block of David Lee Lane. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.
Both are currently being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail.
