Police to question persons of interest in Albemarle shooting

- A man has been hospitalized following a shooting incident early Sunday morning in Albemarle, police said. 

The shooting happened around midnight, Sunday Sept. 10 in the area of S. Fourth Street. 

Upon arrival, officers were told someone was shot at 603 S. Fourth Street and the victim was loaded up into a vehicle and rushed to the hospital. The scene was secured by officers while other detectives headed to the hospital. 

At the hospital, detectives found Dale Junior Sturdivant being treated for multiple gunshot wounds. 

Albemarle police said the investigation continues as they attempt to line up the events of that night. At this point in the investigation, police said they have several people of interest and expect an arrest soon.
