Police: Trailer stolen from church in Lincoln County

Detectives are asking for the public's help in finding those responsible for the theft of an enclosed trailer from from a church in Lincoln County.

The Lincoln County Sheiff's Office said they were called to investigate the theft from Real Life Community Church located at 5467 E NC 27 Hwy. Church officials reported the trailer was last known to be at the church on Sunday, September 10.

Surveillance video shows a white pickup truck, possibly a Ford F-250, pull into the drive and turn off the headlights on the vehicle. The driver then backed up and hooked up to the trailer.

Deputies said they believe two or more suspects were involved and one person had been dropped off earlier to cut the lock. It only took two minutes for the truck to back up to the trailer and leave the scene.
