Police: Two arrested in violent armed robbery at Huntersville apartment

- Two people have been arrested in connection to a violent armed robbery at a Huntersville apartment Tuesday evening, police said. 

The armed robbery occurred Tuesday evening, Feb. 13 at an apartment located on Landings Drive. 

Huntersville police said several armed suspects entered the apartment and assaulted and robbed the people inside. The suspects were reported to be wearing bandanas that partially covered their faces and armed with handguns. A third suspect was reported to be holding an expandable baton. 

During the incident, a woman was struck multiple times with the baton, and punched and kicked in the face and head area. She was transported to the hospital for treatment. A man was robbed of cash and personal property at gunpoint. All suspects fled the scene on foot. 

Huntersville officers circulated the area and were able to locate two possible suspects. The suspects were positively identified by one of the victims as Jamiel Micah Blackwell, 21, of Mooresville, and Serbraun Marie Thompson, 18, of Charlotte. 

Blackwell has been charged with breaking and entering, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Thompson has been charged with breaking and entering, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
