ROCK HILL, SC (WJZY) - A Rock Hill woman is facing serious charges after allegedly leaving her puppy locked inside a storage unit.
Police said Britney Biegel, 23, is charged with animal cruelty after police found the dog barking in a unit at a storage facility on Hearn Street.
The cops broke the lock and let the dog free, according to the Charlotte Observer the dog looked malnourished.
Biegel told police she was keeping the dog there until she moved the next day.
York County Animal Control is looking after the dog, while Biegel was released with a $2,000 bond.
