Police: Woman orders yoga mat, gets oxycodone instead

- A Rock Hill woman got quite the surprise in the mailbox over the weekend. She was expecting a yoga mat to arrive at her home - instead she opened a package containing 20,000 oxycodone pills.

The woman called police Saturday afternoon, Sept. 30 from her Rock Hill home after opening the box.

Once police officers arrived on scene, the woman said an unknown person had shipped a box of drugs to her home. The woman explained she had ordered a yoga mat that was due to arrive on Saturday but when the mail carrier arrived, she handed the woman a package containing about 20,000 blue pills.

Officers observed the box and discovered two large silver aluminum-type packs which were torn open containing oxycodone hydrochloride pills marked and stamped with a A/215 imprint. The return address was from California.

The pills were seized by the Rock Hill Police Department. The York County Drug Unit is now handling the investigation.
