Red Cross sets up shelter in Union County

- Heavy rain caused major flooding on Shannon Road.

Emergency management officials blocked the road around 5:30 Monday evening.

The American Red Cross set up a shelter for residents to wait for the water to recede.

More than a dozen people waited at Newtown Elementary School. Residents say the road always floods and hope something is done about it.
