Report: Off-duty bouncer knocks man's teeth out at Epicentre

- A Charlotte man was reportedly beaten so bad that four of his teeth were knocked out while at the Epicentre in uptown Sunday morning.

"I was assaulted," William Daughtridge said.

Daughtridge said that an off-duty bouncer, who has worked at Kandy Bar, tried to enter the VIP section at Kandy Bar where Daughtridge was celebrating a bachelorette party.

Daughtridge said he made it clear that the off-duty bouncer was not welcome.

"He then lit a cigarette and blew it into our faces," Daughtridge said.

Kandy Bar management said it asked the off-duty bouncer to leave and not come back.

Daughtridge said, 90 minutes later, he was jumped on the second floor of the Epicentre by the same man who blew smoke in his face, along with other men.

"I was blindsided," Daughtridge said.

He said he has a hairline-fracture of his jaw and four teeth knocked out.

Epicentre security did not respond to our request for comment on Wednesday evening.

Kandy Bar said a man named "Mat Tosi" runs the security company that the suspect works for. FOX 46 Charlotte called and texted the number provided for Tosi but none of our messages were returned.

Daughtridge is considering legal action. He's hoping security footage paints a picture of what played out. "I will not come back here," he said.
