CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Will the Carolina Panthers make a move to South Carolina?
A report by the Post and Courier newspaper says the Panthers could soon sign a deal to move their headquarters and practice facilities over the state line and into York County.
The South Carolinians FOX 46 spoke with are happy about the prospect.
“I'm happy to have them come to Fort Mill. We love Fort Mill and we don't venture too much out of Fort Mill, everything's here," one York County neighbor said.
The North Carolinians aren’t quite as happy about the prospect of the move.
"I was a little disappointed to hear the news they may move to SC," a Charlotte resident said.
And some have stipulations.
“As long as they keep the stadium uptown I’m ok with that but it's kind of neat they practice up there, but most NFL teams have a practice facility a new one and I can see them wanted to do that."
