CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A road in south Charlotte will remain closed for about six to eight hours following a water main break early Thursday morning.
The water main break occurred along the 1900 block of Queens Road West at Westfield Road.
FOX 46 Charlotte was on scene early Thursday and observed a driveway in the area buckling upwards from the water pressure beneath.

Motorists in the area are being asked to turn right at Westfield Road, as part of the detour. The road will remain closed for the next several hours Thursday while crews work to repair the broken pipe.
