Rock Hill police investigating overnight shooting

- Rock Hill Police are investigating an overnight shooting.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. at the 200 block of Simrill Street in Rock Hill, according to Rock Hill Police.

When offices arrived they found Thomas Murray, 50, at the base of the steps to the porch holding his stomach telling them he had been shot.

EMS arrived and confirmed Murray had sustained a gun shot wound to his abdomen.

He was taken to CMC and his injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

Officers spoke to witnesses. One witness told them he and Murray were sitting inside his home drinking when an unidentified man walked in, shot Murray and left.

The witness said there was no argument between the two and he did not know the subject.

The witnesses believe the subject left in a black Audi sedan. 

During the investigation officers were notified that Murray was wanted by probation and parole.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the case today.
