Rowan County pastor claims someone vandalized church, left feces in chair

- A Rowan County pastor claims someone vandalized his church overnight, pouring grape juice all over his desk and leaving feces in his chair.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a pastor at Unity United Methodist Church in Kannapolis arrived Tuesday morning to find that someone had entered the church sometime overnight and removed a Wi-Fi box from the ceiling, poured grape juice all over his desk, and defecated in his chair.

According to the report, the pastor said their security cameras had also been taken down and explicit language was written on a whiteboard inside a room.

The pastor said there was also yellow powder covering everything in the church, which was later determined to be chemical spray from a fire extinguisher.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Rowan Sheriff at (704) 216-8700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-(866) 639-5245.
